These defaults apply to all deals in Pitch Revenue (projects.html). When an estimator enters cost without a sale price, the workspace derives sale using the default GM below. Roof ROM pricing also uses this margin to back-solve cost from the calculator sale total.

Default Gross Margin
Must be between 0 and 99.9. Standard starting point is 25%.
Sale = Cost ÷ (1 − 0.25)  ·  Cost = Sale × (1 − 0.25)
